It's hard to believe but we are into the 44th week of golf in 2010 and naturally Golf Betting System has been there every step of the way. This week marks your final opportunity to have a punt on the main PGA Tour in 2010. The Fall Series as ever has thrown up some decent winners so far with Haas (22/1), Slocum (50/1), Mediate (125/1) and Byrd (60/1) sharing some interesting links:
Firstly they are all previous PGA winners so have experience of getting the job done. On top of that they had all won previously on the green surface that they triumphed on the week of their victory. Player ‘base’ wise South Carolina/ Georgia/Florida/Georgia also paints its own picture for us of an end of season dominated by southern state-based players.
I see no reason for change in the final PGA tournament that is the Disney World-based Children’s Miracle Network Classic. I won’t waste your time by waxing in minute detail around the course, safe to say the important factors are 1) Two Par 72 based Courses (Palm and Magnolia) 2) Bermuda Greens 3) Resort courses so easy for PGA Tour professionals...expect crazily low scoring.
Most recent winners of this tournament include Ames (09 & 07) Davis Love III (08), Durant (06), Glover (05), Palmer (04) & Singh (03). In the main, experienced ‘southern state based’ Tour pros (excepting Glover and Palmer who were 2nd / Rookie season winners respectively) who had started to find form going into the tournament. Yet again I warn against backing the favourite this week as Fowler does not fit for the victory.
Stewart Cink 2pts Win 25/1 with £25 free bet - click here to claim now.
I almost made a huge mistake and glazed over Stewart Cink as far too short a price for an out-of-form player. Ask yourself this - why is Stewart playing this week? I think the reason is because he is genuinely disappointed in a season that has seen him slump from 16 to 44 in the World Rankings. Here is a guy who has won at Harbour Town twice (2000 & 2004) and who performs well on Bermuda greens and who at the Ryder Cup impressed hugely with the flat stick. It all starts to make sense when you note that the Georgia based Cink has at LAST started to find form with the putter and he wants to end a disappointing season by winning on the PGA Tour for the first time since 2008 in a relatively un-pressured end of season tournament where he finished 2nd in 2003. 25/1 looks juicy all of a sudden with our bookmaker of the month. RESULT: T19
I’ve been excited about Leonard’s chances here for the past couple of weeks and was delighted to see the Texan in the field when it was announced last Friday evening, as he fits the bill perfectly. Here is a 12-time winner who has predominantly won on Bermuda greens including victories at TPC Sawgrass, TPC Southwind, Harbour Town and PGA National. In fact one of his only non-Bermuda victories was his British Open triumph in 1997! Leonard, like Cink, has had a disappointing 2010 and his OWGR has more than doubled to 97 and that’s why I love the look of him this week. 3rd at the recent Wyndham Championship (he had a chance to win standing on the 18th tee), Justin’s form line of 24-45-30-30-36 is solid and his putter is warm. A class player like Leonard is due a win - his last was on Bermuda at St Jude in 2008. Lump on. RESULT: M/C
Vijay Singh 1pt EW 40/1 with Up to £200 in free bets via this link: Bet 365 £210 Free Bets
Jeev Milka let me down last time out so I’m sticking with the Singh vibe and jumping on Florida resident Vijay this week. Previous Bermuda triumphs include Phoenix (03) New Orleans (04), Honolulu (05), Kapalua and Bay Hill (07). Add to that a win here in Orlando in 2003. Singh again appeals this week because he is a big name player who is desperate to end 2010 with a decent performance, after all why would he have entered otherwise? Whilst all hell breaks loose around him as players scramble for a place in the Top 125 or to win the Kodak Challenge, Singh will be able to focus in a non-pressured environment on building on his current form which includes 9th at the AT&T National and 11th at the recent Deutsche in a high class field. RESULT: T12
A Bermuda green tournament master who triumphed here in 2008, I was surprised to find the Sea Island resident at a decent each way price. Davis has already qualified for his 2011 card and his 2 year exemption for winning here comes to an end this week so the South Carolina “boy” will be motivated to play well on his favourite surface. Recent form of 28-33-61-31 includes a great performance at the McGladrey Classic where he was solidly in contention after 54 holes. Love’s game is in decent nick in all aspects and he ranks 5th in Ball Striking and 15th in GIR on the PGA Tour across the whole season. Expect sub 1.7 putts per Green in Regulation on his favourite Bermuda surface and a strong week. RESULT: T19
Aaron Baddeley 1pt EW 50/1 with £25 free bet - click here to claim now.
Under the intense pressure of losing his PGA Tour card, Aussie Aaron Baddeley performed mightily last time out in Las Vegas. He never crumbled in the final round and grabbed an 8th place finish and $125,000 to guarantee his playing privileges for 2011. On a course where Baddeley’s lack of accuracy off the tee won’t be punished I can see Aaron going extremely well on his favourite Bermuda greens. As high as 17th in the World in 2007 after PGA Tour wins at Harbour Town (06) and Phoenix (07), the Arizona resident is due a win - it’s just a question of how soon? In a relaxed and confident state of mind I think it could be sooner than Stan James recognise. RESULT: T65
