In a tough match bet market at the Phoenix Open, this match offers the chance of profit. On the face of it Big Bob’s recent form of MC/MC doesn’t offer much but then we dig a little deeper. His form on Bermuda putting surfaces has been exceptional of late: Kapalua 2nd, Disney 1st and you can add 2nd at St Jude to the list. TPC Scottsdale is a bombers paradise where inaccuracy off the tee isn’t overly punished. This in itself favours neither Holmes nor Garrigus who are both as long as you like, but you have to side with the Scottsdale resident whose preference for Bermuda is key here. Although both of JB’s wins have been on this track I favour the local man this week over 72 holes. RESULT: 269-280, 10 points loss.
