You have to say that the New Orleans event has been a victim of it's re-positioning on the PGA Tour calendar. Last year the Classic was positioned pre Masters. This year despite PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Fincham's best encouragement for top players to support 'regional' events, the field is far from classic. The lack of field quality certainly offers opportunities for many of the Tour's 'supporting cast.'
The only 'interesting' addition to the field is European Tour 'super kid' Danny Lee. The risk - reward nature of this course may well play into the New Zealander's hands. Ian Poulter and Justin Rose also play. Expect Perry, Stricker and Watney to head the betting price list.
