A large number of Golf Betting System readers use Sky Bet as part of their bookmaker portfolio - here's what some of them had to say about Sky Bet with a specific slant on their golf betting odds, promotions and overall offering. For more bookmaker reviews click here.
“What can I say about Sky Bet? Well, when it comes to the number of golf markets they offer, the Sky can be the limit! Sky Bet often feature golf events that other online bookmakers don’t even price up, so they are handy for accumulators – at very tasty prices. Their individual odds are not always the best, but they are often up early. Sky Bet also boast regular Facebook and Twitter competitions. I will always be grateful for the free £50 bet I won with them – the bet on Phil Mickelson for The Open at 25-1 landed me my biggest ever golf win of £1,250. Happy days. Their online service is perfectly good too.” Reviewed by KB. Rating: 4/5
“Without doubt Sky Bet has the widest range of golf markets available week in, week out. Not only do they offer odds for all major tours but also offer odds for most feeder tours; often they will be the only bookmaker offering these markets. Sky usually offer a without favourite(s) market on both main tours so that is always a good option to have if you fear the favourites could run away with an event, the one drawback I find is that SkyBet are rarely top price on the players that I want to back but, all in all, it is certainly worth having an account with them because of the wide range of markets on offer.” Reviewed by TB. “I use a lot of the time due to the wide range of odds, ease of use on the site, large range of markets especially the larger tours & I get rewarded for using them.” Reviewed by JR. Rating: 5/5
“Specialists in offering odds from golf tournaments from all over the world. Offering odds from minor tours is a great addition as it makes it easier to include longshot multiples. As a golf punter I've never had a problem with Sky Bet. Fairly decent prices with them being top price for a few players each week. Also good for an enhanced bet which they usually offer on one of the market favourites. Usually offer prices on a Monday which is a feat in itself considering the amount of tournaments Sky Bet offer odds on.” Reviewed by JK. Rating: 4.5/5
“Occasionally use Sky Bet - usually prices are generally competitive they also boost some players prices although normally in a win only, usually offer the extra place. Twitter feed hit and miss; they do comps only on footie that if you win you can use on the golf that week.” Reviewed by DP. Rating: 3/5
“I find the Skybet site very easy to navigate and it's easy to get their odds up for golf.I think they offer fair prices and always seem to put their prices up before most otheronline bookmakers which I think sometimes can give you an edge if you're looking to take an early price. It's easy to get multi-bets on different golf events and one thing Iwill say about Skybet is they always seem to offer plenty of the events taking placearound the globe each week so you have plenty of choice. Their maximum payout is£250,000 so seems very good for the little accas !! Another thing I like is their freebet club which gives you a free £5 every week of the year if you place bets of £25 in a week. I just use my free bet for golf betting every week.” Reviewed by KA. Sky Golf Betting Coverage
Sky Bet is the ultimate 'one stop shop' for golf betting. Their worldwide coverage is quite simply unbeatable with market depth that puts most other online competitors to shame. It goes without saying that they cover the Major Championships, World Golf Championships, the PGA Tour and the European Tour in great depth. Where Sky Bet really excel is their coverage of the secondary level of professional golf covering the Asian, OneAsia, Australasia, Challenge Tour, Japan Golf, Korean, South American and Sunshine Tours. In the United States the LPGA, Champions Tour and web.com Tour events are also covered in depth with Place and Top 10 markets often available.
Market establishment is also fast with Skybet. European Tour tournaments are always available early on a Monday with the PGA Tour event live following on from mid-afternoon. Bargain hunters love Sky Bet for this very reason and you can always grab a strong price early with them before the tipsters publish their views. Player prices are never outstanding with Sky Bet who rarely are exclusively market leading. Instead their odds compiler does take a view on the favourites every week and players who he feels won't make an impression are priced at joint best market price.
Sky Bet excel when it comes to market depth and pulling together interesting special markets. Most weeks both the main Tour events have without the favourite markets and you get the full range of Top 5, Top 10, Top 20 and First Round Leader markets. Sky Bet also lead the way when it comes to placing multi-bets on different golf events. Doubles across tournaments and Tours are easy to establish and their maximum golf payout of £250,000 makes them an attractive proposition for doubles and upwards.
Typical Markets include outright Betting, Top 5, Top 10, Top 20, 1st Round Leader, 2/3 Balls, Mythical 2 Balls, Mythical 2 Ball - Draw No Bet, Match Betting, Tournament Group Betting, Two Chances to Win, Top American/European/Scottish/Australian/Asian/Korean, Hole in One, Winning Margin, Straight Forecasts and Dual Forecasts.

When it comes to In-Play, golf betting is available on PGA Tour and European Tour events. Traditionally you can bet on the Outright Market during each round.
Sky Bet Golf Odds
As you would expect, we keep as close as we can to player odds here at Golf Betting System. Sky Bet offer fair prices, but rarely lead the way with exclusive market leading prices on the most popular players. Bargain hunters though can be rewarded with excellent prices on triple-digit players. In general Top 10 and Top 20 punters are better off at Coral or Stan James.
Sky Bet Golf Each-Way Places
Sky Bet have really stepped up to the mark in recent years when it comes to extended places. Unlike Paddy Power and Stan James, they don't usually offer 6 places each-way at The Masters, however a genuine 8 places each-way full 1/4 odds at the 2016 Masters was the first time ever, that a bookmaker offered that amount of places to existing customers. They have also offered 7 places-each way at recent Open and PGA Championships - although of late they have started to take the 1/5 odds route when offering additional spots.
Below you'll find detailed Sky Bet's historical Major Championship each-way terms since 2012:
Sky Bet Sports Promotions
Rather than give punters specific sports promotions, Sky Bet offer a unique free bets deal whereby loyal customers receive guaranteed free bets each and every week. Well worth checking out as this can amount to over £250 across a full 12 months. Sky Bet also offer price boosts across the most well-backed horses every day plus boosted Premier League win trebles and First Goalscorer odds covering the big clubs and top strikers.
Sky Bet Club, £5 Free Bet Each Week. Sky Bet have been offering free weekly bets in varying guises since 2012, but the latest Sky Bet Club promotion is extremely attractive for regular bettors who place average level stakes every week. Effectively once you have joined the Sky Bet Club, stake £25 per week at minimum odds of evens (2.0) and you will receive a free £5 bet every week.
Horse Racing Best Odds Guaranteed. If you take a price with Sky Bet and the starting price is higher then they pay you out at the higher odds. There are some exclusions such as ante-post and In-Play bets amongst others but this is a great offer as horse racing odds can shorten or lengthen very quickly, especially at the big meetings like Aintree.
