PGA Tour 2010 - Steve Bamford's Season Tips

Steve Bamford’s 2010 Season Golf Tips

My brief was to take 15 points from GolfBettingSystem’s 2009 PGA Tour season profits and highlight a range of 2010 PGA Tour season special bets that will generate further profit! So I chose a team of Mickelson, Perry & Zach Johnson and some CRAZY “no brainer” prices!  The bookmakers must be feeling generous this winter!

Phil Mickelson to win PGA Tour Money List w/o Woods 5pts @ 7/4

This is like printing money!  Who can truly challenge Lefty over the whole of the 2010 PGA Tour season in a w/o Woods market!  Phil will see the absence of Tiger as a real opportunity to go for the World No1 spot and with wife Amy on the road to recovery from cancer, expect a rested and re-vitalised Mickelson to take forward his end of 2009 form.

Zach Johnson to win a PGA Tour tournament 5pts @ 6/5 RESULT: Won Crowne Plaza Invitational

What does a guy need to do to be taken seriously?  The current World No22 gained 24 spots in the World Rankings in 2009 after a superb season.  He led last season’s FedEx Cup and eventually finished 6th.  The Iowa ‘boy’ won the Sony Open and Valero Texas Open following up on 3 further victories in the previous 2 seasons, including The Masters! I’m absolutely incredulous that Zach is at 2-1* to win a PGA tournament in 2010, with such luminaries as ‘non winners’ Steve Marino, Tim Clark and rookie Rickie Fowler shorter on Extrabet’s book! FILL YOUR BOOTS GUYS! *Please note - this price was too good to be true and proved to be a listing error, we've now listed the best correct price at 19:00 5.1.10 of 6/5. Thanks to A McLauchlan for pointing this out!

Kenny Perry to win a PGA Tour tournament 5pts @ 13/8

Again I’m in total shock! Perennial ‘bottler’ Tim Clark is shorter (6/4) to win a PGA Tour event than Kentuckian and World No 10 Kenny Perry.  Perry is a class act who simply gets better with age.  Perry already has 14 PGA Tour victories and he states matter of factly that he wants 20 victories before he moves onto the Senior Tour.  Long, straight and with a superb ball striking game, expect the new club rule changes to play right into his hands.  After 5 PGA Tour victories in the past 2 seasons and corresponding prize money of $9million, I’m comfortable that 13/8 is an absolute steal.

Miguel Angel Jiminez in Ryder Cup Team 2pts @ 6-1

Member of 3 Ryder Cup teams in 1999, 2004 & 2008, the experienced Spaniard finished only 23rd in the 2009 European Tour Order of Merit. However that belied a solid 09 that generated 7 Euro Tour T10s and 14 T20s!  Add to that no missed cuts at any of the 09 Majors and I start to get the feeling that Miguel in his Ryder Cup quest will plunder a big tournament win 2010.  On each of those occasions when part of the European Team he qualified by finishing 4th in the Euro Order of Merit so expect a real Euro Tour focus from Miguel.

What attracts me even more to the Jiminez is that he has course form as well.  If he misses automatic selection, his Ryder Cup experience allied to a win at the Celtic Manor in 2005 in the Welsh Open, could well see Monty plump for the Spaniard as one of his three captain’s picks.

All odds and bookmaker offers correct at 13:30GMT 31.12.09. Naturally, if you're reading this at a later date, the odds and offers may well have changed as they are subject to fluctuation.
