As part of our work to put the predictor models together each week, there’s a fair amount of statistical data that might come in useful for some of you out there. Rather than bin it, we thought we’d share if with you! If this type of page proves to be popular then we can expand the coverage and content – tell us what you think on Twitter or Facebook using the links at the top of this page.

The data is taken from the last 10 tournaments on either the PGA or European Tour with the most recent events being the furthest right.  Non PGA/European Tour events (with OWGR points) are marked with an asterix (*).

Odds and bookmaker offers were correct at 13:45BST 30.6.20 but are naturally subject to fluctuation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The ‘last’ tournaments in this data refer to the Travelers Championship, RBC Heritage and Charles Schwab Challenge; prior to that it’s the week of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Qatar Masters which reflects the last full week played on the PGA Tour and European Tour before its suspension due to Covid-19 in March 2020.

Steve Bamford's Course Notes - Detroit Golf Club.

We’ve only seen Detroit Golf Club once and it didn’t really leave a lasting impression with Nate Lashley winning at -25/263.

A Donald Ross original, this course is both wide off the tee and a short Par 72 format, measuring in at just 7,340 yards and is a classical, tree-lined design located 10 miles north-west of central Detroit. A distinct lack of water hazards, allied to fast fairways and responsive, watered Poa Annua with Bentgrass green complexes, led to a typical PGA Tour birdie-fest here to mark the first Rocket Mortgage Classic. Unless the elements change significantly 12 months on, I doubt that changes this week.
