2018 Major Championship Each-Way Terms

2018 The Masters Each Way Terms Offered:

Our full 2017 PGA Tour each-way place analysis is available to read below:

2017 was a magnificent year on the PGA Tour and from a golf betting value perspective it also saw a record level of additional each-way places provided by online bookmakers. Golf Betting System tracked the each-way terms provided across all of the 46 strokeplay tournaments played in 2017 by 11 leading online golf betting bookmakers, to provide the full picture when it comes to who gives their customers the greatest opportunity of a place return.

In all, bookmakers in 2017 provided 390 additional each-way places over and above the standard terms, although as you'll see below, some online layers were far more generous than others. The trend in the industry would seem to be that a number of online operators are serious about wanting to offer a consistent additional each-way proposition to their customers, whereas others have settled on only giving value at the Major Championships.

Both Paddy Power and Coral dominate the 2017 each-way landscape and for golf punters who like to maximise opportunities, so it really makes sense to have online sportsbook accounts with both bookmakers - that way you get to maximise each-way places with the ability to take the best odds across each of them on a given tournament.

2017 Best Each-Way Golf Bookmaker: Paddy Power

2017 saw Paddy Power offer a market-beating 83 additional places, all paid at 1/5 odds. That compares to say BetVictor and Ladbrokes both of whom offered up just 3 and 6 places respectively. Across 46 PGA Tour strokeplay tournaments including Major Championships and World Golf Championships, Paddy Power offered additional places across 44 of 46 tournaments - that's a whopping 96% of tournaments, with 8 places each-way being available 5 times. Market-leading each-way offers at the Open Championships have always been hugely popular, but as this 2017 tracker illustrates, it's well worth recognising that Paddy Power offer each-way value week-in, week-out across the golf season.

Key 2017 Tournaments

If you don't have a Paddy Power account, we would recommend adding them to your online portfolio. 2017 Runner-Up Best Each-Way Golf Bookmaker: Coral

Coral came a very close runner-up to Paddy Power when it came to PGA Tour each-way value in 2017. In total Coral offered 77 additional places, all paid at 1/5 odds. To compare, they were 6 places shy of Paddy Power, but offered 30 more places than the next best online bookmaker Betfair Sportsbook. 36 of 46 PGA Tour strokeplay tournaments saw Coral offer at least 2 additional each-way spots more than the industry norm. It's well-worth recognising that Coral were the stand-out bookmaker at the 2017 PGA Championship where they offered 10 places each-way (1/5 odds) to both existing and new customers.

Key 2017 Tournaments

If you don't have a Coral account, it makes sense to have access to their additional each-way places which have been amazingly consistent. Their current new customer offer is 4 x £/€5 free bets when you join Coral and bet just £/€5.- click here to claim. 18+, T&Cs apply.

Alternative Options

Betfair Sportsbook were third in class for each-way places across 2017, but the results are slightly misleading as they didn't start any additional golf place activity to mid-way through the season. 7 places each-way at 1/5 odds in full field PGA Tour tournaments has become the norm now, and golf business is now clearly a huge priority.

Key 2017 Tournaments

Betfair's current new customer offer is a £100 free bet package available in 5 x £20 free bet tokens - click here to claim. 18+, T&Cs apply.

Significant Terms & Conditions:

We've also been impressed with Boylesports across 2017, where they offered additional each-way places across 41 of 46 stroke-play tournaments. That 89% was second only to Paddy Power. Their approach is an additional each-way place at 1/5 odds and their prices are often the very best of the extended place operators. Especially worth a look across regular PGA Tour events.

Key 2017 Tournaments:

Boylesports' current new customer offer is a Bet €10, Get €40 in free bets and casino bonus for Republic of Ireland customers - click here to claim , or a £25 free bet package for United Kingdom residents - click here to claim.

Finally, William Hill have undoubtedly improved their golf betting proposition across 2017 and that's highlighted in this analysis. Out of 46 stroke-play tournaments, they offered a minimum additional each-way place in 38 (83%). They offered an additional each-way place across 35 PGA Tour tournaments all at 1/5 odds and, to their credit, they broke their own record to go 8 places each-way at the 2017 Masters.
