Nations League games including England, Scotland and Wales are the highlight of a sporting week which includes EFL League 1 and 2 fixtures plus UFC Fight Night from the Meta APEX Las Vegas- action from Friday 25th September through to Monday 28th September 2026.
The live televised international football action kicks off this Friday 25th September on BBC Two with Georgia vs Northern Ireland at Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena, Tbilisi – kick-off is at 7:45pm. Michael O’Neill’s Northern Irish side were promoted from League C in 2025, with a trip to Georgia in League B Group their reward. The Group is shared with Hungary and the Ukraine. With Liverpool’s Conor Bradley unavailable until 2027, this will be a tough game for Northern Ireland with Georgia containing attacking threat in the form of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from PSG and Georges Mikautadze from Villarreal. Friday night in Nations League A sees Italy vs Belgium and Turkey vs France, both on Amazon Prime at 7:45pm.
Saturday 26th September then see both England and Scotland feature. 2pm sees Slovenia vs Scotland live on BBC Two. This is the first Scotland camp under new manager Sebastien Pocognoli, with this game away in Slovenia his first in charge. Scott McTominay, Che Adams, Lawrence Shankland, Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean are big misses for the Scots as they face a Slovenian side who love to draw at home – 3 of their last 4 games have been draws with a defeat to Kosovo as well. 7:45pm then sees England vs Spain at Wembley, live on ITV1. This should be an absolute cracker against the World Champions. Declan Rice, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo and Tino Livramento all withdrew with injury from Thomas Tuchel’s 27-man squad, replaced by James Garner and Morgan Gibbs-White. Spain look great with Rodri, Pedri, Zubimendi, Merino, Yamal, Nico Williams, Olmo and Oyarzabal all in the squad.
Saturday 26th September at 3pm sees a number of EFL games all available on Sky Sports+. League 1 features the local derby, Wycombe vs Reading from Adams Park. Michael Duff’s side come back home after 2 great away wins at Leyton Orient and Wigan. Reading will jump into the top 6 with a victory, with striker Jack Marriott in hot form. Cambridge United and especially Plymouth could take advantage this weekend with a win for The Pilgrims seeing them go top of League 1. They play AFC Wimbledon (Home) and Burton Albion (Home) respectively.
Saturday at 5:30pm sees League 2 action on Sky Sports Football – Oldham Athletic vs Salford City at Boundary Park. Salford City arrive in great form, winning 3 of their last 4 League 2 matches. Oldham conversely are winless in their last 4 League games, losing their last 3 on the bounce.
Full EFL League 1 and League 2 programme available on Sky Sports+ this Saturday 26th September:

Sunday 27th September sees Denmark vs Wales, live on BBC One. In Denmark, Wales have an excellent recent record: W2, L1. They won 2–1 in Copenhagen in 1998, 1–0 in Brøndby in 2008, before losing 2–0 in Aarhus in 2018. They also lost 4-0 to the Danes in their last meeting at Euro 2020 in Amsterdam. Sunday international football wise also sees feature matches Serbia vs Netherlands (5pm), Germany vs Greece (7:45pm) and Norway vs Portugal (7:45pm).
Monday 28th September sees Northern Ireland live on terrestrial TV via BBC Three at 7:45pm. Northern Ireland vs Hungary at the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park will feature a cracking atmosphere, the likes of which always makes it difficult for visiting nations. The home side are unbeaten in the Nations League since June 2022 at Windsor Park, plus have only lost to Germany and Slovenia in the past 3 years. Amazon Prime on Monday night at 7:45pm features Belgium vs France, Sweden vs Poland plus Turkey vs Italy.
UFC Fight Night from the Meta APEX, Las Vegas, in the early hours of Sunday morning sees full coverage on TNT Sports. This UFC HQ-hosted card features a Bantamweight contest as Raul Rosas Jr. (12-1) takes on Raoni Barcelos (22-5). Raul Rosas Jnr has been highly touted since he arrived in the UFC in 2022. The Mexican is 6-1 since arriving and last beat by decision Rob Font back in March and now looks to break into the Bantamweight division top 10 in this, his eighth UFC fight. His opponent Raoni Barcelos ranks #8 and across his last 4 fights has beaten Payton Talbott, Cody Garbrandt, Ricky Simon and Montel Jackson, all by decision. Co-main sees Rodolfo Vieira vs Robert Brycek. Brazilian Vieira is a UFC veteran who had his first fight in 2019, but the 36 year-old is on the slide with a 1-3 record over his past 4 fights. Polish fighter Brycek only made the jump to the UFC in 2024 at the age of 34, beating Ihor Potieria on debut, but losing a decision to Cameron Rowston in Perth as recently as May.
