Tuesday 10th March sees the Supreme Novices Hurdle leading the way with the Cheltenham roar sure to be loud, with Nicky Henderson’s Old Park Star the short-priced favourite. The Champion Hurdle sees potentially the most open race of the Festival, with The New Lion facing a trio of super talented mares in Lossiemouth, Brighterdaysahead and defending champion Golden Ace.
Wednesday 11th March sees No Drama This End, Final Demand, Kaid DAuthie, Wendigo, Stumptown and Favori De Champdou all in action before the feature Queen Mother Champion Chase, where Willie Mullins-trained Majborough will go off as the short-priced favourite, challenged by Dan Skelton-trained L’Eau Du Sud and Mullins’ own Il Etait Temps.
Thursday 12th March sees the Stayers Hurdle over 3 miles with last year’s winner Bob Olinger back to defend his title. Short-priced favourite will be Gordon Elliott’s Teahupoo (as in 2025) with Ma Shantou for Emma Lavelle looking to be the best British challenger. The Ryanair Chase is always a great race with 2025 King George VI winner Banbridge a likely challenger, whilst the Pertemps Network Final Hurdle is always a huge betting heat across a large field.
Thursday 12th March sees the PGA Tour’s biggest tournament, The Players Championship. Played at TPC Sawgrass, World Number 1 Scottie Scheffler has won this in both 2023 and 2024, whilst Rory McIlroy looks to defend the title he won in 2025. They will be up against the strongest field that the PGA Tour can muster with Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Chris Gotterup, Hideki Matsuyama and Ireland’s Shane Lowry set to be the closest challengers.
