What Can I Use My Coral Free Bet On This Week?
International play-off semi-final football including Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Wales, plus top-level golf, are the highlights of the sporting week from Tuesday 24th March through Thursday 26th March.
Thursday sees the semi-final first legs, with Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Wales all involved. Italy vs Northern Ireland from Bergamo, kick-off 7:45pm on BBC Three has to be the highlight. Italy will be the short-priced favourites but Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland team are greater than the sum of their individual parts and will hope to take Italy back to Belfast still very much in the tie. 7:45pm on BBC Two is the TV channel for Wales vs Bosnia-Herzegovina from the Cardiff City Stadium. Wales under manager Craig Bellamy are formidable at home, whilst Bosnia-Herzegovina came up 2 points shy of Austria in Group H from automatic qualification.
Troy Parrott went down in International folklore, completing his hat-trick by scoring a last-minute winner and securing Republic of Ireland a play-off spot following their thrilling 3-2 win against Hungary. Their reward is a tie against the Czech Republic who finished second in Group L, above the Faroe Islands, Montenegro and Gibraltar.
International Play-Off Semi-Final 1st Legs:
- Thursday 26th March: 5pm – Turkey vs Romania; 7:45pm – Czech Republic vs Republic of Ireland, Denmark vs North Macedonia, Italy vs Northern Ireland, Poland vs Albania, Slovakia vs Kosovo, Ukraine vs Sweden, Wales vs Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Tuesday 24th March sees EFL League 1 and League 2 fixtures:
- League 1 – 7:45pm: Doncaster vs Port Vale.
- League 2 – 7:45pm: Oldham vs Nott County – Sky Sports+.
Thursday 26th March sees the PGA Tour move to Texas and the tough Memorial Park Golf Course for the Texas Children’s Houston Open. This is the start of the Texas Swing as the PGA Tour visits Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Fort Worth either side of The Masters and the PGA Championship. Min Woo Lee won his maiden PGA Tour title here in 2025 and returns to defend his title from a host of big PGA Tour names which includes Players Championship winner Cameron Young and 2026 PGA Tour winners Chris Gotterup and Nico Echavarria. Wyndham Clark, Jason Day, Tony Finau, Si Woo Kim, Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry and Sahith Theegala are all in Houston, making their final preparations for Augusta National in a fortnight, with Rickie Fowler yet to qualify.
Thursday 26th March also sees the DP World Tour’s Asian Swing arrive in New Delhi for the Hero Indian Open, played at the formidable DLF Golf and Country Club. Marcel Siem (2023), Keita Nakajima (2024) and Eugenio Chacarra (2025) have won this in the past few years with Chacarra returning to Delhi with a decent $2.55 million prize fund up for grabs. Multiple South African Swing winner Casey Jarvis, Calum Hill, Dan Bradbury, Angel Ayora, Matteo Manassero, Oliver Lindell, Thriston Lawrence and Francesco Molinari add depth, with LIV Golf League players David Puig and Elvis Smylie all travelling to India. There is also a surprise entry from 3-time PGA Tour winner Akshay Bhatia.
